Issued to commemorate Elizabeth II’s 25 years on the throne. This was the second of the decimal crowns and was denominated as 25 pence when released. Previously, crowns were five shillings but in 1990 were redenominated to five pounds. Obverse and Reverse was designed by Arnold Machin.

Mintage: 36,989,000 (may include coins issued as part of a set). Minted at The Royal Mint.
